We bought our `longere` in Montreuil Poulay in 2001, with much work to be done, and high hopes of achieving our dream. In the first two years we encountered various disasters, and learned many important lessons. We then had the great good fortune to find Premier Property Care run by David Evans. Every aspect of our continuing renovations and improvements became professionally managed, with imaginative and practical suggestions complementing our own ideas. With renovations of the traditional stone walls to the total creation of stunning accommodation from what was a huge dark loft, every stage has been a success. To have found such a personal and knowledgeable service has been fundamental to achieving a home which now far exceeds our original expectations. And we will shortly be commencing a further renovation of additional stone outbuildings under the total supervision of Premier Property Care‘.

We needed a leaky chimney stack fixing on an urgent basis, so we called David at Premier Property Care. He came out with his macon and sorted out the problem with the brickwork and the old seals, and installed modern flexible tubages for our two woodburners. The leaks stopped, the rain stays out, and the new flues mean our woodburners draw smoothly and burn much better.

We wanted a new kitchen installing. The old one was looking very tired. We contacted David at Premier Property Care – he helped us with the plans, and then did a very neat installation after we bought in the kitchen units – he also took care of our very antiquated plumbing and wiring and brought these services into the twenty-first century. The job looks great and we now have a kitchen that’s a pleasure to cook in.
