The restaurant has been in operation for almost 20 years and is one of the few restaurants in Houston that has not only retained its status as a favorite local dining establishment, but has also expanded into a full-service burger parlor. The original Grub Burger was started in the spring of 1988 as an informal get together of a group of Houston area teenagers that were interested in the food business. The goal was to provide inexpensive meals for workers on their way home from work.Today, Grub Burger serves over one hundred thousand visitors a month and seems to have achieved its success through a combination of its customer loyalty, laid back atmosphere, great food, and Houston great customer service.
There are four different locations for Grub Burger. The original location is onheimer street, offheimer road, in addition to two other locations in the Houston area. Each of the four restaurants offer distinct specialties and offer something different to their guests. The oldest of the four restaurants is situated onheimer street, while the others are located on Houston’s downtown streets. The oldest of the four still offers the original peanut butter and jelly burger, while the newer ones have added new items such as a miniature cheeseburger and a ‘Grub Burger’ to their menus.
